Gertrude Hawk Candy Bar Sale
|
|
Anonymous writes " Hello Cub Families!!! Our candy sale is in full swing and a second order will be placed with Gertrude Hawk to supply you and your son with more fundraising candy bars. 35% profit, or $0.35 per bar goes to your son's Cub account, which can be used for any Scouting activity, uniforms/Scouting items and registration fees. Please contact me at BSA33Eagle43@aol.com and let me know how many more carriers you want to sell to reach your goal. If you sell 19 carriers, at 48 bars per carrier, you'll have enough funds to pay for one week of summer camp. WOW!!! its just that easy to get camp paid for!!! Thank you and Happy Selling to you, Dave Brink"

Pack 43 will have there monthly Committee Meeting, Monday, January 2, 2012 at 6:30PM at Sacred Heart Church.
Our first den meeting of 2012 is this Tuesday, January 2nd.
We will be starting our annual candy sale fundraiser next Tuesday, January 10th.
Our Webelos are working to get ready for their winter event on
Saturday, January 14th. Let's give them some encouragement and help
them get ready!
I hope you are getting ready for our annual Space Derby, it going
to be here before you know it on Tuesday, January 17th. This will be a
Pack meeting, as we encourage family and friends to come enjoy the Space
Derby and see the scouts receive their awards for all their hard work.
The Space Derby kit can be purchase at the Scout Shop on Postal Road.
Please make sure the rubber bands in the kit are given to your leader,
so that they can all be properly prepped before the Space Derby.
As we are deeper into winter, despite the warm weather, that white
stuff that makes the roads icy may appear soon. :) In case of
inclement weather, scout meetings are cancelled if Northampton School
Area School District and/or Sacred Heart Church are released early or
cancelled. "

The Pack voted.... We'll be planning a trip to the Lackawanna Coal mine and Anthracite Heritage Museum in Scranton for a date to be determined, most likely late May or June. Details will be discussed when they become available. Can't wait to go 300ft down, into the slope mine at McDade Park. It really is an awesome tour into the actual workings of a once active mine. Then a tour of the Anthracite Heritage Museum, which has much, much more on display than just mining. Incredible exhibits, placing you in the 1800's and early 1900's of American life. We'll plan on either cooking lunch on a grill in the park, or packing a picnic basket. {Voting results were 14-12 in favor of the Mine trip.}

Great job Cub Scouts and their baking partner's!!! Another AWESOME array of baking delights and yum yum goodies!!
Special Congratulations goes out to our Top 3 Winners in the Thanksgiving theme category; 1st Joey Rodriquez, 2nd Anthony Michael and 3rd to the brothers Beer, Ryan and Connor! Great job, I especially liked the "Mashed potatoes with gravy and pads of butter" Mmmmm Mmmm good!
Largest cake honors go to Andrew Getz for his Fruit-a-copia. His cake just edged out the brothers Gallagher, Riley and Aidan for the largest. The brothers cake won Most Patriotic for their cupcake collage in the shape of a turkey and an American flag. Smallest cake award goes to Kieran Wysocki, Most Scout like goes to Matthew Schroyer and the Best tasting goes to Derek Richline, which was decorated with a Pilgrim's musket and Tomahawk, placed strategically to symbolize the peace sign.
Another great Bake-Off!!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving Pack families!

WOW!!! The float looked great on RCN Channel 4's coverage of the parade Tuesday evening. What a Terrific group of Cub Scouts and their parents. Leaders looked pretty good as well... Hey, was that Mr. Brady in a robot head??? Happy Halloween Cub Pack 43, good luck Trick or Treating, I hope you get lots of candy and apples in your treat bags.
Mr. Brink

The meeting this Tuesday, October 18th will be the Pack meeting Halloween party/Float prep night at my property, 2565 Williams Rd. Bath, PA 18014 at 6pm. Please bring your family stay if you can, the more hands the better to build the float.
The
kids should dress in weather appropriate Class B's, no uniforms or
costumes. They may get messy- they will probably be painting.
In
addition to giving the boys part of the float to work on, they will be
bobbing for apple (yum), having a eat the donut off the string race
(double yum), a flashlight candy find, and marshmallows on the bonfire
(triple yum!).
Please bring
a chair and a flashlight. Our float theme is spooky fun Halloween, so
any pumpkins, old costumes (we will probably need to staple them to the
wood frame), hay bales, scarecrows, cornhusks, etc you can donate would
be great!
We also need
a few snacks- marshmallows (I already got graham crackers and
chocolate), chips or other snack food, cheeseballs, juice, and water.
If you can bring any of those items please email me so I know what we still need.
I think that's all, it's going to be a fantastic night!
